| 1980 | A Service Center is built in suburban Chicago (Wheeling, IL) in order to satisfy the growing customer demand for local warehousing. |

Production capabilities for rolling and annealing copper alloy strip to customer specific sizes are added to the expanded Wheeling facility. |

The production of copper tubes with enhanced surfaces begin. An additional building is constructed at the Wheeling facility. |
| 2002 |
A larger Service Center for slitting, traverse winding, packaging and warehousing is built in Wheeling, bringing the entire facility to over 200,000 sq ft. |
| 2003 |
Wieland and Kobe Steel form the joint-venture KobeWieland Copper Products, LLC to produce and market all types of copper tubing as one company. |
| 2009 | With a multi-million dollar investment, the modernization of the Rolling Mill in Wheeling starts. |
| 2010 | The completion of the new Rolling Mill offers a faster production of high-quality products. |
| 2010 | The Wieland-Group acquires the stake held by Kobe Steel become the sole owner. KobeWieland is renamed to Wieland Copper Products, LLC. |
Wieland's history began in 1820 with the art of casting bells and utility items in copper alloys. Since then, copper materials from Wieland have stood in good repute.
